Austin's Blessing

Over the weekend of June 6th we gave Austin a blessing and a name in church. We felt so blessed to have so many friends and family able to be there.

Classic.

Austin wore the same little outfit that Zach wore for his blessing. It was a really hot day, so he didn't stay in it for long.

After the blessing we had a BBQ at our house. Our house was packed with people we love. It was great.
Here's Jay and Zach playing the guitar.

You know it was fun when Zach passes out on the living room floor afterwards.

My Grandma and Karl were able to be here for the weekend. It was so fun to see them! Of course, Grandma swooped in and snuggled Austin.

He loved her, too.

One of the many fun things we did with the Smiths is go up Flagstaff and have a picnic. It was a gorgeous evening and lots of fun.

Cousins

A couple weeks ago we decided to try to take some pictures of the boys together before Gary and Kim and Miles moved to Texas (they're moving right now, sniff sniff) for Gary's intern year. These aren't the greatest, but they're perfect. Cute boys!

This is Miles saying, "Save me!" and Zach saying, "I love you!"

Memorial Day

Our weekends have been packed with family and friends for awhile now. So fun. Over Memorial Day weekend the highlight was that Gary graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School. Congrats Gary!
Kim's family was in town so we enjoyed a big BBQ with them and a walk down to the park. We have been seeing them for years as they come to run the Bolder Boulder. It was great to see them again and we will miss them next year.
Kim's sister Katie just graduated from high school and is therefore finishing ballet, so Kim was taking pictures for her in the park. Zach joined right in. He had just seen a Little Einstein's with ballet in it so he kept saying "arabesque!" Too funny.
While I wasn't quite ready to run the Bolder Boulder this year, we did get a double BOB jogging stroller that weekend. I am SO excited to have it- it means more freedom for me! I had been getting out on walks and to parks carrying Austin in a sling but this is so nice. Just strap them in and go! (if only getting out the door were really that simple!) Glorious! I am NOT good at being inside at home all day.
There was also a bike race in Superior over the weekend- the Superior Morgul Classic. Parts of it went by the end of our street- about a block away. It is a race that used to be big, but hadn't been done in years. There were street sprints (so fast and fun to watch!), a criterium, and the famous Morgul-Bismarck road race. Maybe next year we'll get to watch more of it. I'm trying to talk Cal and C3 and Pete into riding in it. ;)
We also had some fun backyard time.

Napping in the grass. Wonderful.

Catch Up

I'm guessing this will be a trend for awhile. Playing catch-up, that is. I'll try to do better than once a month updates. So much has happened that I'm not sure where to start, but thought I needed to get something up. So here are some pictures.

I saw a friend once take pictures of their baby next to a stuffed animal every month to show how they were growing. I thought it would be fun to try that with Austin. While I haven't exactly been good about the timing of it, here's the first one of him at 6.5 weeks. We'll see if I remember to take more... :)

A couple more pictures, just for fun.
