Ventura

After Rosie's graduation the Smith family spent some time at a beach house in Ventura, CA. We had fun doing some surfing, sea kayaking, and hanging out as a fam. It was sad not having Emily there, but she's a strict rule follower.

Congrats Rosie!

(Rosie and her fiance- Jay Wright)

Calvin's little sister graduated from University of California- Santa Barbara on June 17- so Cal was able to cruise out there after the wedding, along with the rest of the family. I had to head home because my doctor told me the 16th was the last day I can travel (in my pregnancy). I was sad to miss it.

Happily Ever After

My brother Gary got married on June 16 (the same day as our anniversary- it's the only day a Roper child can get married) in the Provo, UT temple. It was a scorching day, but the wedding was beautiful and we had a lot of fun. We are so excited to have Kim as part of the family! And also excited that they will live in Denver- close to us!

Baby Zach

I had an ultrasound yesterday and everything (unofficially) looks good. Zach is sure growing- according to the measurments he now weighs 3lbs. 9oz.!
Other good news from yesterday- I passed my 2nd ultrasound board exam- which means I am now officially a "Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer!" Yay!

The Crib

So I seem to have this anxiety about things not being ready for baby Zach, even though I'm only 30 weeks... I think maybe I have a little too much time on my hands. Over Memorial Day I finally talked Calvin into setting up the crib, and that has made me feel better. It is just so cute (yes, those are fish! appropriate, huh?), but still a little empty. We are so excited! We started taking child prep classes last week. I promptly passed out in the first class and was sent upstairs to labor and delivery to be monitered.... ha! Apparently I can't sit in that position for that long (I have come close other times). You'd think that maybe I was distressed about delivery or something, but we were just talking about back pain.... I was completely embarrassed!

Rockies Game

We had a fun weekend with my grandma in town and went with my family to our first Rockies game of the season. The Rockies lost but we enjoyed the peanuts, hot dogs, and good company.

The Latest Ultrasounds

I thought these might be the last ultrasounds we would get to see of Zach since I quit my job (no more peeking), but next week I'm getting scanned since I am measuring a bit small... I can't wait to see him!! I think I am having withdrawls.
