Tahoe

A few pictures from Tahoe!

Kayaking with Grandpa and Grandma.

Cute Emma (Aaron & Amy's little girl)

The water was pretty cold, but Zach didn't seem to mind too much. Dad warmed him up on rocks.

Aaaahhhh. What a life.
Playing with Uncle Peter.
Daddy.
Swimming with Aunt Rosie.

I just happened to spot Sarah and Toby out kayaking while I was taking pictures.

I LOVE Tahoe!!

Birthday Part II

Zach's actual birthday was spent in Reno. We decided to fly out for a visit and it worked out that EVERYONE could make it out there for at least the weekend! Including all of our family friends the Gabbarts (you are family). SO fun!

At his party we had some yummy ice cream cake- which I think he liked better than the cake I made him. That's my boy! And he got even more fun stuff. He's not spoiled AT ALL.

HA.

Happy Birthday Zachers

Has it really been a year since we brought this teeny little guy home?? I know everyone says this (I didn't believe them until now), but it is unbelievable how quickly time goes. We sure love this little guy.
I'm a bit sad to be leaving his babyhood behind, but he is so darn fun that I'm guessing I'll love him as a toddler just as much. I love how interactive he is. My social little guy. You think he gets that from his dad?
We had my parents over for presents and cake the weekend before his birthday. He loved the balloons and somehow knew just what to do with the presents and cake.

Olympic Inspiration

This morning Zachie woke up and decided he was going to walk! He must have sensed his birthday coming up next week.

Photo Shoot

Yes, you know what that means. Lots and lots of pictures. So bear with me. Or just skim. I won't be offended if you don't look at all of them. I love it- but I know I can get a little out of control.

These are a result of an attempted nap. Zach has a lot of the Smith genes in him when it comes to sleeping (so Cal says). And that means there's not a lot of it. Day or night. Instead of continuing to fight with him I decided to grab my camera:

Teething. Our poor crib will never be the same.

Happy drool monster.

Zach's eyes are starting to change color. I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but the very center of his beautiful blue eyes is starting to look brown or green.

I wished I'd had my video camera out. He likes to "read" books to me. He makes little noises (ba ah ah da boo uh ma....) that fluctuate and pause like he is reading a story. SO cute. The best part of this picture is the book is upside-down. He's gifted.
