Cute Zach

Here is our little cutie! Zach is such a sweet baby (of course we are biased!). He is a great eater and sleeper and not very fussy (so far at least). He has a round face and dark blue eyes that will most likely turn brown... he seems very curious and loves to look around... and a little light brown hair. Everyone is fascinated by his long fingers and toes and big feet. Maybe he will be tall?? He is still tiny (he weighed 6 lbs. yesterday) and all his clothes drown him. He likes to have his hands by his face and is a serious sucker- we have given in to the pacifier (gasp)- and he loves it. Anyways, I just wanted to post a few cute pictures so you can see what he looks like....

Zachary Calvin Smith

Introducing Zachary Calvin Smith born at 3:25 PM Tuesday August 21 2007. He weighed in at 6 pounds and 6 oz and was 19 inches long. Emily was in labor for about 7 hours and pushed for about 30 minutes.

Ready Or Not

I saw my doctor today... and still no real progress... so tomorrow really is the big day. They moved my induction time up to 7:30 tomorrow morning- fine with me! So think easy and fast labor and delivery thoughts for me.... and we will have our new little sweetheart soon!

The "Big Day"

Well, today is our long awaited "due date" and still no baby. We are anxious for this little guy to come out, but he seems to have a plan of his own. This last Tuesday at my weekly visit I was 80% effaced and 1cm (for those who care). I have this totally irrational fear that I will be pregnant forever and just keep getting bigger and bigger. Scary, huh? There is hope, however. My doctor scheduled me to be induced next Tuesday at noon if nothing happens before then. So the end is in site!!! In the meantime, I'll just keep cleaning and walking...

Date Night

We decided to go mini golfing for a little date night last night. I have been wanting to go for a long time and we thought it might be easier now than later. The competition was intense (at least that's what I tell myself)... we each won a game. I was at a bit of a disadvantage with my belly in the way!

Hello In There

A couple of weeks ago I had to get another ultrasound to check on things... (everything was fine). So here are a few pictures from it... Of course I loved getting to see him! The first one is just the spine. The second is a picture of his face- pretty hard to see, I know. He is on his side with his forehead to the right (if that helps??).
