Play Time

Recently Zach has started to really like his toys. He loves his playmat and I am so happy that I can put him down sometimes now.

Sometimes he wears himself out....

(notice he's holding the monkey's hand... so cute)

And he really loves his bath time. He's always so happy to see himself...

I can't say I blame him.

Happy Halloween

We carved pumpkins with Amy and Brett (& Owen)...

Our little red hot chili pepper...

And my parents and Gary and Kim came over for some Nuggets viewing...

Oh, the anticipation

Can you believe it? It's almost here! I don't mean Halloween. While Denver has been hearing a lot of Rockies talk the past month or two, I have been hearing a lot of basketball talk. That's right. The Denver Nuggets have their first game of the season on Wednesday against the Seattle Supersonics. Calvin has been talking about it, and reading up about it... for, well, since last season. Now, I like the Nuggets, but Calvin loves the Nug-Nugs. They are his team. I have such a short attention span that basketball (luckily) is one of the few sports that I can actually watch on TV. And now that I have watched so much with Cal, I even know the players and get excited about the games. So tomorrow is a big day in the Smith household. Just 1 day 2 hours 19 minutes and 39.1 seconds to go. There are, after all, only 82 games this season. Go Nuggets!

Happy

Sailor

Calli gave us this little sailor suit that was Calvin's when he was a baby. We have had it sitting in his closet for awhile now, and we kept talking about how we needed to put it on him. Yesterday we thought we'd better work on it or it would be too late. We could hardly squeeze Zach into it- I think we waited too long! I knew he was growing when some of his clothes started getting a little snug and he was barely making it 2 hours from the start of one feeding to the next, when I was lucky. At his 2 month check-up this last Monday, Zach was measuring in the 90-95th percentile for height at almost 24 inches! Who would have guessed that I would have a tall child? (I don't think this will last... but there are some tall genes in the family- of course I missed out on those!)

I was tagged...

The rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I am an obsessive compulsive organizer. I love to organize and reorganize everything. If I had all the time and energy in the world (who does?) my home would be perfectly neat, color coded and alphabetized. Of course it is not.

2. I love projects. I have a constant need to have some sort of project going (I get this from my mom). Sewing, scrapbooking, photography, painting, baking... I have to have something to keep me busy. Sometimes I get a little over-ambitious.

3. If I worked purely for fun, I would be a florist, photographer, or maybe an elementary school art teacher. How great!

4. I have an extra bone in my left foot. And I had two extra teeth (now removed). I'm pretty sure my mom was on drugs when she was pregnant with me. Just kidding!!

5. I didn't wear any makeup until college- except for high school dances. And in college I horrified my roommates by walking to class or church with wet hair. Who knew hair can dry on its own? I think to a lot of people I am a "granola," but not by Boulder standards. My father in law says I'm always dressed for an expedition!

6. I used to play the piano and flute, but haven't touched them in years. I could make some noise now I'm sure, but unfortunately I've lost it all.

Now I tag Amy Rogers, Amy Gabbart, Kristen, Natalee, Sam, and Jen.
