For Thanksgiving this year we flew out to San Francisco (actually, we stayed in El Cerrito) to celebrate with Cal's family. It was Cal's grandma's 90th birthday, so the extended family also gathered to celebrate that. Thanksgiving morning we all worked on Grandma Jean's yard for her. This included some weeding, bulb planting, serious pruning, and putting up Christmas lights.
(a note to family: there are a ton of pictures from that day since I was the "official documenter" for the family events, so I will maybe put them in a Flikr file for you to browse...)
Pete beginning the pruning.
Jay, the master tree shaper, and assistant Rosie.
Zach loved getting to run around outside- the weather was gorgeous!
That evening we enjoyed a nice Thankgiving dinner with just Cal's immediate family at the house we rented. We each contributed a dish and it was really good- especially considering we were all out of town and the stove/oven was an antique. I do love Thanksgiving food.

Emily, As usual these are absolutely wonderful pictures. Thanks for being our "official" photographer.
Great Photos, Emily
Do you have a bunch of photos of Jean's 90th birthday?
I'm trying to make sure she sees some. So far I've got a selection from Katie, Laura and Marilee.
