Beachy

We spent a lot of our mornings at the beach, before the afternoon winds picked up.  I especially loved getting down there "early" (like 9 am) before there were many people, and while the light was still beautiful and soft and it was warm but not hot.  It was a little misty and looked like the ocean and sky just blended together.  I loved it.

A few mornings we walked down to the pier to explore and look for crabs.

Nana and Austin

Zach jumping off of rocks, of course!

Another thing we love about this resort is that the water is shallow for quite a ways out and the waves are mild, so you aren't too worried about the kids.

Our "home base" on the beach.  We love the palapas!  We could order food and drinks right there too.
So nice!

Cal getting some reading time on the beach.  We tried to get each other some down time there and it was glorious.

Zach had a love-hate relationship with the boogie boards.  He wanted to like it, and tried a few times, but after a few dunks in the saltwater and a faceplant on the board, he was content to play with it his way.

Nana doing what she really loves at the beach.

We walked on the pier to see the crabs, too.  It was fun to watch a fisherman throw out his nets and pull them in.

There were lots of crabs in the rocks and the boys loved to spot them!

Sunsets...
Here is our view from where we ate dinner.  Not bad!

After eating dinner next to the beach one evening, my mom and I took Zach down to play on the beach and watch the sunset.  We missed the pretty part, but he had fun and got wet and sandy.  :)

The last time we were here we took pictures during a gorgeous sunset and we wanted to try for that again.  We didn't have as good of luck with the sunsets this trip, and definately were too late for this one.

The boys loved to chase the waves in and out.
